Rave Reviews for Lammas Bardic Circle
The Bardic Circle held at Ravenna Park by the Seattle Covenant of Unitarian Univerasalist Pagans on July 27, 2007 was a great hit with the participants. People from all over Seattle brought their stories, songs and poems to share with the group that gathered.
Johanna Moon and Terin, who acted as co-priestesses, set up a private space for the group, hanging blankets and tarps from the trees to screen the area off. Participants processed in, and found a comfy place to sit. After the circle was cast, and the quarters called, a very long version of the Pagan Old Time Religion was sung. Then the sharing began, and almost every one in the circle had brought a favorite story or poem, or one they had written themselves.
After the ritual a barbeque potluck was held with Eagle Spirit doing the kitchen wizard honors, cooking the hamburgers and hotdogs. Many tasty side dishes were provided by the attendees for the enjoyment of all.
Mabon, The Second Harvest
Mabon Ritual to Find Our Sun King

Mabon, which is celebrated at the Autumn Equinox, is also known as the Wine Harvest. Day and night are once again in balance, as the days grow shorter.
Our ritual yesterday was intimate, there were only a few of us. But it was interesting. In the quest for a Sun King many challenges were posed. Riddles were riddled, darts were thrown, cups of water were carried along an obstacle course at full tilt. And in the end, the Sun King emerged. We then wrote what we would like to harvest on a piece of paper, which was given the Sun King to burn in the cauldron.
After the circle was opened, we all joined in the potluck feast. We hope you will join us next time.
